Ingredients

kilogram
beef

beef stock or 2 cups water

tablespoon
fish sauce
salt and pepper

tablespoons
cornstarch dissolved in ¼ cup water
Instructions
Cut beef, carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery into bite-size pieces.
Add oil into the pan and pan-fry the beef until they are halfway cooked. Set aside.
Using a pot, add 1 tbsp oil and sauté onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
Add the potatoes, celery, and carrots and cook for 3 minutes.
Pour pan-fried beef into the pot and stir for about 2 minutes.
Add the beef stock and fish sauce into the pot and simmer in very low heat for 1 hour.
Add salt and pepper if needed.
Add the cornstarch mixture into the pot and let it cook for 1-2 minutes then remove from heat.
