Beef Stew is one of my easy go-to food especially when I'm working. I love this recipe because it is very tasty. My husband really loves this dish. I guarantee you, you will too.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
- Beef
- Oil
- Garlic
- Onion
- Carrots
- Potatoes
- Celery
- Beef stock or Water
- Fish sauce
- Salt and pepper
- Cornstarch dissolved in ¼ cup water
How to Make the Stew:
- Cut beef, carrots, potatoes, onions, and celery into bite-size pieces.
- Add tbsp oil into the pan and pan-fry the beef until they are halfway cooked. Set aside.
- Using a pot, add 1 tbsp oil and sauté onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
- Add the potatoes, celery, and carrots and cook for 3 minutes.
- Pour pan-fried beef into the pot and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Add the beef stock and fish sauce into the pot and simmer in very low heat for 1 hour.
- Add salt and pepper if needed.
- Add the cornstarch mixture into the pot and let it cook for 1-2 minutes then remove from heat.
- Enjoy.
